1-25-11 PLAN MODIFICATION (no initiating devices affected): This plan modification is to implement field modifications. It was found that a new NAC panel was not needed. The new notification devices are being added to existing circuits on the existing NAC panel located in the electrical room. In addition, existing controlled access doors (located at Breakroom 213 and Vest. 226) are being tied in to the fire alarm system via an existing relay circuit to release on alarm, and a ceiling mount device is actually being located as a wall mount device in Waiting 206.
12-28-10:This fire alarm permit is to provide a new NAC panel to accommodate new notification devices for a tenant improvement. No initiating devices are part of this permit scope of work.
Associated building permit: BLD10-02486 (MASS MUTUAL FINANCIAL GROUP) New 7,400 sq. ft. office tenant in vacant shell area on a portion of the existing 17,745 sq. ft. second floor for use as an office by MassMutual Financial Group. There is an existing central core to this building, approximately 780 sq. ft., which includes the three exit stair systems; and an elevator for accessibility compliance, part of BLD06-00688. Work to include: light demolition of some existing walls; construction of new interior, non-combustible walls to create offices, conference rooms and support areas; suspended ceiling grid system; related interior finishes in compliance with chapter 8 of the 2006 IBC; cabinetry, doors & hardware and floor finishes; alteration for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, sprinkler & alarm systems per plans. Occupancy sensor / bi-level switching for lighting fixture's per plans & 2006 IECC. The Shell building, common use restrooms, drinking fountains and service sink were provided under the SHELL permit, BLD06-00688. NOTE: This building is fully fire sprinklered. Any alterations or modifications to the fire sprinkler system shall be per NFPA 13 as regulated by the fire department. The sprinklers are used for one-hour fire-resistive substitution. The existing envelope is not being affected by this permit. All work per the approved plans, attached plan review comments, and conditions of all reviewing agencies for this project. A new Certificate of Occupancy with the new occupant load total is to be issued when completed and approved. **SRZ**
