This space was original mercantile. The space is being change to a church (assembly). Since this is a change of occupancy all sprinklers must be changed to quick response type. In additon, sprinklers are being added below stairs.

CANYON RIDGE CHURCH) Fire sprinklers used for area and story increase. To convert part of an existing building (3,863 square foot 1st story and 1,624 square foot 2nd story) from retail sales and office to church assembly rooms (5,487 square feet total). This building has a 16,000 square foot 1st story and a 4,428 square foot 2nd story. The work is to include 2 restrooms accessible to the disabled, a new stairway to serve the 2nd story, interior nonbearing walls, emergency lighting, exit signs, panic hardware, and finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. The fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
