The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of adding, relocating sprinklers to accommodate new wall and ceiling construction. There is change of occupancy from Ordinary Hazard II to Light Hazard. All sprinklers are to be quick response type. The protected area has above and below protection.


Building Department Scope:

Remodel to an existing 3,980 sq. ft. space changing occupancy from retail to an assembly fitness center per approved plans. Work to include: interior demolition per plans; construct new interior non-bearing wall partitions to create a Group room, office, kids room, cardio area, womens and mens locker rooms, and work out area; install a new dual height (hi-lo) accessible drinking fountain; related interior finishes in compliance with chapter 8 of the 2009 IBC; and plumbing, electrical work. All work per the approved plans, attached plan review report, and adopted codes. The existing envelope is not being affected by this permit. NOTE: This building is fully fire sprinklered for area increase and story increase. Any alterations or modifications to the fire sprinkler system shall be per NFPA 13 as regulated by the fire department. A new Certificate of Occupancy with the new occupant load total is to be issued when completed and approved prior to tenant occupying this space. **SRZ**
