Description |
The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of providing a new wet pipe sprinkler on three levels in an existing building. Each level will have separate floor control valves. A new 6” C-900 underground supply from the Main Street will be brought into the basement to a new 4” backflow preventer and 4” header. The second floor is supplied by a 4” main to a 3” cross main and telescoping branch line piping. The basement and first floor levels will be supplied by a 3” main to a 3” cross main. The second and first floor levels are designed for light hazard. The basement is designed for Ordinary hazard group II. The second floor is protected with standard and extended throw side wall sprinklers. The first floor has some above and below protection. The basement has large orifice upright sprinklers. The supply rises up to the first floor level to a wall PIV and then back down into the basement to supply the main header. ALL sprinklers are to be quick response type.
Building Department Scope:
Remodel of an existing 1,678 sq. ft. bar, expanding into the adjacent 1,312 sq. ft. space per approved plans. New total area of the tenant space will be 2,990 sq. ft. on first floor; combining of 1,047 sq. ft. portion of 2nd floor with 1,942 sq. ft. area above Pengilly's for 2,989 sq. ft. office area. Combining the two former basement areas totaling 2,880 sq. ft. Stair to crawl space area originally serving Old Boise Guitar side is being removed and new opening for access between two crawl space areas is being installed. New expansion space of 1st, second & basement were formerly occupied by "Old Boise Guitar". Work to include select interior demolition, new structural beam, posts and connectors at new wall openings; new fully accessible restrooms on 1st floor; new stairway between 1st & 2nd floor; modifications of exterior landings and accessible ramp at alley side parking lot with sign at main street entrance directing patrons to the accessible route location; upgrade stairs, handrails & guards per code; safety glass, doors and hardware per code, exit signage and emergency lighting. NOTE: This building will be fully fire sprinklered with alarm in conjunction with this permit. drs
