The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of add, relocate and delete sprinklers to accommodate new wall and ceiling configuration. This is a simply arm-over project. A few new sprinklers are being added via mechanical tees.


Building Department Scope:

(FUNCTIONAL & INTEGRATED MEDICINE OF IDAHO - 1ST STORY - SOUTH END) Fire sprinklers used for code trade-offs. To construct a 2,223 square foot medical office tenant space on the 1st story of an existing building. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, a single user restroom accessible to the disabled, suspended acoustical ceilings, millwork, interior doors, and finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**


Fire Sprinkler System Design/Spacing:

The existing system is a 3”x3”x1½” grid.
New hydraulics was not required due to the scope of work only requiring minor changes. The work is on the first floor of a three-floor building. The pipe sizes on the first floor are the same as the pipe sizes on the third floor.

The sprinkler piping rough-in is passed except for a wall needs to be extended around the storage room as discussed for the upright to be ok in this room. Piping can not be covered until the stopwork order has been lifted for the project related fire alarm. I discussed this with mike.
