The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of relocating sprinklers in three areas on the fifth floor to accommodate new wall and ceiling configuration. Sprinklers will be changed to quick response type.
Building Department Scope:
(ST. LUKES REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER) Remodel a 1,140 sq. ft. portion of the fifth floor for group therapy, waiting area, dictation and consult uses in east tower of existing hospital building, excluding vertical circulation areas per approved plans. Work to include: Selective demolition work per plans; cold-formed metal framing; acoustical panel ceiling system; building insulation; penetration firestopping; joint sealants; hollow metal frames; new doors and associated hardware; gypsum board and related interior finishes in compliance with chapter 8 of the 2009 IBC; resilient base and accessories; new flooring; fire sprinkler/alarm systems, controls, voice and data communication system work; electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work. All work per the approved plans, attached plan review report, and all applicable codes. NOTE: This building is fully fire sprinklered for an I-2 Occupancy and as a high-rise building. Any alterations or modifications to the fire sprinkler system shall be per NFPA #13 as regulated by the fire department and will require a separate permit. A certificate of completion shall be issued when work is completed and a final inspection has occurred. **SRZ**
