Description
The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of providing protection per NFPA 13R for a (4) level structure. The structure is technically (3) buildings. There is a class I combined manual wet standpipe throughout the structure. The building(s) are divided by horizontal exits. Residential sprinklers are used throughout except for areas outside of the dwelling units and corridors. The top level has piping tented laying on the trusses.

TRADITIONS AT BOISE LLC- Section A- Section 'A' (West Wing) to construct a four story 1-hour fire rated, wood frame, 52-unit, commercial apartment building of 25,296 sq. ft.(6412 s.f. - 1st fl / 6,497 s.f. - 2 thru 4th fl.). There are 12 units @742 s.f.; 4 @ 751 s.f.; 4 @ 553 s.f. and 12 @ 568 s.f.. A 2-hour combination fire wall & Horizontal exit is being constructed between the West Wing and Center Core portion for allowable area compliance. This building is fully sprinkler W/ 13R system for allowable area increase, addition of 1-story and for occupancy use compliance; alarm with notification system; 1-hour exit corridors connecting the 2-hour stair enclosure and horizontal exit; and mechanical shaft assemblies are indicated as 2-hour rated. Each floor has one exit into a rated stair enclosure and 1 exit through a horizontal exit. There are 13 units @ 742 s.f.; 4 @ 553 s.f. and 28 @ 568 s.f.; 3 @ 762 s.f.; 6 @ 540 and 12 @ 457 s.f. The first floor Center Core has accessory support areas.Two (2) 2-hour combination fire walls & Horizontal exits are being constructed between the West Wing / Center Core and East Wing / Center Core portions for allowable area compliance of Center Core. There is also a 2-hour exit stair enclosure toward the west end of the Center core. This building is fully sprinkler W/ 13R system for allowable area increase, addition of 1-story and for occupancy use compliance; alarm with notification system; 1-hour exit corridors connecting the 2-hour stair enclosure and both horizontal exits; and mechanical shaft assemblies are indicated as 2-hour rated. Piping can not be covered until the tenting has been installed and inspected. I notified the general contractor of this and he stated that the tenting should be complete by tuesday and an inspection request would be called in. I did note that one sprinkler pendant needs to be added due to overspacing from an exterior wall pocket.
