This fire alarm permit is to provide a water deluge system in building 50 at the fire wall separating building 50 from building 24D. The deluge serves as a fire wall for the two wall penetrations required for the automated wafer handling system. The fire alarm design consists of a smoke detector, heat detector, flow switch, tamper switches for manual valves, a deluge solenoid valve and power monitoring. Building 24D has an identical deluge system on the other side of the fire wall and will be permitted separately due to the fact that they are in separate buildings. Both systems work in conjunction with each other.

Associated building permit: BLD11-00818 Micron Building B50 - R&D Building - To construct a new 111,005 square foot, two story, with 71,855 square foot basement, concrete and steel semiconductor fabrication R & D facility and related site improvements. The first floor level is 89, 435 sq. ft. (60,100 sq. ft. finished and 29,325 sq. ft. unfinished). The second floor is a 21,570 sq. ft. mechanical space (16,170 sq. ft. used and 5,400 square feet future). The basement level (subfab.) has 43,295 sq. ft. finished and 28,560 unfinished.
