There are no written review comments. 3-27-12:This quick permit is to relocate 4 notification devices and increase the candela rating of one device from 110cd to 135cd. The existing device NAC23:2-3 may remain as-is, provided it meets the spacing requirements of the time of install (1999 NFPA 72-please see redlined plans). The most recent notification upgrade of this area was done under FIR07-00081. The relocated and/or replaced devices are to meet the requirements of 2010 NFPA 72. Approval is subject to field measurement of the EOL voltage drop. For appliances with an operating voltage range of 16V – 33V, the minimum acceptable voltage is 19.6V with the AC power off. Any measurement below this voltage will be considered insufficient to run the NACs at the end of useful battery life of 20.4V (per UL 864, Standard for Control Units for Fire Signaling Systems). See NFPA 72 2010 Handbook 18.3.2.3 for further assistance with calculations.The installing contractor shall have available at final inspection a voltage meter and measure end of line voltages; witnessed by the field inspector.There are no written review comments.
