The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of consists of adding sprinklers below the new observation area mezzanines. The renovations also include a new mercantile area, kitchen, selected smaller rooms, and removal of some existing walls, which do not seem to affect the sprinkler system. A new occupancy permit is required due to the increase occupancy load. Therefore, all sprinklers shall be changed to quick response type. The building was originally used as an extra hazard warehouse with SR 17/32 sprinklers. New hydraulic calculations are not required due to the original extra hazard design being more than adequate for the current light hazard use.
