This quick permit is to relocate existing speaker/strobes to accomodate a tenant remodel. Due to the new walls, and relocating devices, an adjacent vacant tenant space was left with inadequate coverage. The candela rating was increased on an existing device in that space. There are no initiating devices. Approval is subject to field measurement of the EOL voltage drop. The voltage drop calculations are based on a 10% drop, therefore the minimum acceptable voltage is 21.6V with the AC power off. Any measurement below this voltage will be considered insufficient to run the NACs at the end of useful battery life of 20.4V (per UL 864, Standard for Control Units for Fire Signaling Systems). The installing contractor shall have available at final inspection a voltage meter and measure end of line voltages; witnessed by the field inspector. There are no written review comments.
