Add two sprinklers below a new mezzanine.

(THE KNITTING FACTORY - MEZZANINE ADDITION) Fire sprinklers used for story and area increases. To expand the existing 1,712 square foot mezzanine by 180 square feet to a total area of 1,892 square feet. Work is to include a floor system constructed of steel beams, wood joists, 1-1/8” structural floor sheathing, and threaded rods and clevises. A 4 riser stairway with handrails and 42 inch high guards will also be constructed. Special inspection is required for welding and bolting. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The total occupant load of this tenant space is not allowed to exceed 999 or the occupant load established by previously approved occupancy scenarios. The maximum occupant load of the mezzanine shall be maintained at 192. The existing exit signs and emergency light fixtures are required to be maintained. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
