The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of protecting an existing building and new building with four dry systems. A new fire pump (1500 Gpm @ 90 Psi) will be installed. ELO 231 sprinklers are being utilized. A new fire pump room will be built in the new portion of the building. The building has 2” & 2 ½” branch piping with 6” mains.

The building has various rack storage, mainly dealing with doors and construction materials. There is also a large paint room.

(ORE PAC - Warehouse Expansion) MODIFICATION TO ADD A 2,277 SQ. FT. CANOPY TO THE SOUTH SIDE AND TWO 280 SQ. FT. CANOPIES TO THE NORTH SIDE OF THE BUILDING. For the construction of a 43,719 sq. ft. addition to an existing 63,833 sq. ft. warehouse/manufacturing/office building with work to include the construction of a new 43,719 sq. ft. steel building per the approved plans and the removal of the wall on the east end of the existing structure. Under BLD13-03145 a three hour wall was required on the north side along with three hour opening protectives since the separatin distance to the ajacent building to the north is less than 60' and this is an unlimited area building. The outside of the 3 hour assembly was not required to be completed untill construction of this addition commenced. The exterior portion of the three hour assembly on the existing building is required to be completed prior to occupancy of the addition. NO RACKING IS ALLOWED UNDER THIS PERMIT. ANY RACKING OVER 8 FEET IN HEIGHT REQUIRES A SEPARATE RACKING PERMIT. This is a fully sprinklerd buiding for unlimited area with an alarm system; any alterations to the sprinkler system will require a separate permit and shall comply with NFPA 13 and 72 as regulated by the fire department.
