Reconfigure the sprinklers and arm overs in the area of work. The new sprinkler layout is to accommodate the remodel and comply with NFPA 13 standards. The existing 2" main will stay in place along with existing earthquake bracing.
Fire sprinklers used for area, story, and height increase. To construct a 1,159 square foot shell office tenant space in the Northeast corner of the 4th story of the Owyhee Place historic building. The shell and core upgrade work was done under permit BLD13-00938. A non-rated corridor was constructed to connect the exit stairways under permit BLD14-02791. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, interior doors with glass sidelights, suspended acoustical ceilings, and finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 (including quick-response heads where not provided) and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. A fire sprinkler permit shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems.
