The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of adding, plugging and relocating sprinklers to accommodate new wall and ceiling configuration.

Fire sprinkler system used for building area increase and for fire area. To enlarge and remodel 4 restrooms (663 square feet total) and to remodel a 1,737 square foot office area within an existing retail sales, office, and production building. A Men’s and a Women’s restroom will be available to serve the shopping public and a Men’s and a Women’s restrooms will be available to serve workers. Access to other restrooms located within this building or access to temporary restroom facilities shall be provided for employees and for the public for the duration of the restroom remodel. Work is to include 4 restrooms accessible to the disabled, interior nonbearing walls, suspended acoustical ceilings, gypsum board ceilings, interior doors, and interior finishes. Structural work includes concrete footings, steel columns, a steel beam, wood columns, a wood beam, wood joists, and wood sheathing. The steel beam, steel columns, and concrete footings will be used to support and redirect the loads from an existing column. Special Inspection is required for welding, epoxy anchors, and bolting. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department.
