Add, plug and relocate sprinklers to accommodate new wall and ceiling configuration.

** FIELD INSPECTOR ** The building department scope of work indicates 4 separate areas of work. The provided drawing only indicate 3 areas of work. Please, verify all new building department areas of work are adequately protected. A new CO is required, therefore, you could approve the FP areas of work but deny the CO until all areas are adequately protected.

Fire sprinkler system used for occupancy and for high-rise) To remodel 4 areas located on the 2nd story of the North Tower (1,125 square feet, 313 square feet, 175 square feet, and 1,063 square feet) of the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. The pharmacy will be moved and the cancer care clinic will be expanded. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, a 2-hr fire barrier wall infill at a mechanical shaft, a short segment of smoke barrier wall, smoke partition infills, a 1-hr fire barrier wall as an incidental use separation, a restroom accessible to the disabled, suspended acoustical ceilings, gypsum board soffits, fume hoods and exhaust ducts, millwork, exam room sinks, a mop sink, and finishes. The existing medical gas system (oxygen) will be extended to serve the new exam rooms. The existing smoke partitions that create I-2 Occupancy corridors and care suites are required to be maintained. Existing smoke barriers that create smoke compartments are required to be maintained. Existing 2-hr fire barriers that create stairway enclosures and shafts are required to be maintained. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate permits are required for alterations to these systems. **CJW**
