The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of adding, plugging and relocating sprinklers to accommodate new wall and ceiling configuration.
Fire sprinkler system used for floor level over 55 feet above grade. To expand the basement of the MSTI building by about 3,500 square feet and to expand the 1st story by about 430 square feet. The expansion area is to be used as a medical outpatient clinic and will house a TrueBeam Accelerator and supporting functions. No one is expected to be rendered incapable of self-preservation by the services provided. The grading and shoring work was done under grading permit GRD14-00030. Work is to include concrete footings, concrete foundations, concrete roof, an egress stairway and bulkhead, brick veneer, EIFS, interior nonbearing walls, interior doors, suspended acoustical ceilings, millwork, and finishes. Special Inspection is required for concrete, welding, bolting, soils, deep foundations, and epoxy anchors. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, with the structural design, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13, including quick-response sprinkler heads, and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
