Fire sprinkler system used for high-rise and for occupancy. To remodel 3 areas located within the one story portion of the building located South of the South Tower (357 square feet, 1,674 square feet, and 472 square feet) of the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. New radiology bi-plane equipment will replace existing equipment. Except for a new door in an existing smoke partition, no fire barriers, smoke barriers, or smoke partitions are affected by this remodel. Work is to include upgrading an existing restroom to be more accessible to the disabled, interior nonbearing walls, suspended acoustical ceilings, suspended acoustical ceiling using a “Unistrut” framework, gypsum board soffits, a modified utility trench in the floor, footings to support new equipment, a concrete mechanical pad for UPS equipment located on the 2nd story in close proximity to the bi-plane room located on the 1st story, millwork, and finishes. The floor of the radiology bi-plane room is expected to be a concrete slab on grade without a basement below. Structural work includes concrete footings to support the bi-plane device and a concrete footing to support the patient table. Special Inspection is required for concrete, welding, expansion anchors, epoxy anchors, and other post-installed concrete anchors. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
