The fire sprinkler scope of work consists removing the existing piping and sprinklers and reinstalling new piping and sprinklers as shown on our plans.

(HEWLETT PACKARD – MEZZANINE LEVEL – SOUTHEAST AND SOUTHWEST CORNERS OF BUILDING #2 – REPLACEMENT OF AIR HANDLER UNITS) The fire sprinkler system is used for building area increase. The existing Air Handler Units located on the 1st story mezzanine in the Southeast and Southwest corners of Building #2 will be removed and replaced with new units. Pumps for the hydronic system will also be replaced. Horizontal sunscreens will be removed to allow equipment removal and installation and then the sunscreens will be reinstalled. A 4.5 foot by 13 foot enclosed area for a new outside air plenum will be constructed. The plenum will be constructed using 6” metal studs to support 2” thick exterior insulated metal panel siding. An exterior 10” thick concrete slab on grade will be installed in the Southeast corner. Structural work includes supplemental beam framing at new mechanical duct penetrations through existing roofs and a floor. New beams will be provided to support the new exterior wall of the plenum located above. Special Inspection is required for welding and for post installed concrete anchors (expansion, epoxy, etc.). The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, with the structural design, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
