The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of a 6” connection to the existing water main. In addition, there will be approximately 4”x150’ C-900 of new underground piping with necessary thrust blocks and fittings.

(VINEYARD AT EAGLE PROMENADE – APARTMENT BUILDING) An NFPA 13-R fire sprinkler system is required for occupancy. To construct a new 37,353 square foot apartment building for seniors (19,283 square feet 1st story and 18,070 square feet 2nd story). A total of 30 dwelling units will be provided. Occupants do not live in a supervised environment and do not receive custodial care (i.e. this building is not an I-1 Occupancy). Two dwelling units will comply as Type A and 28 dwelling units will comply as Type B. Work is to include concrete footings, concrete piers, concrete stem walls, concrete slabs on grade, exterior wood stud bearing walls, interior wood stud bearing walls, wood beams, wood columns, wood shear walls, a wood joist floor system, a wood truss roof system, architectural laminated asphalt roof shingles, horizontal lap hardboard siding, board and batten style hardboard siding, shake style hardboard siding, manufactured stone veneer wainscot, interior 1-hr corridors, interior 1-hr stairway enclosures, interior doors, exterior doors, exterior windows, a gas fireplace, millwork, and finishes. A separate permit is required for the solar panels on the roof. Special Inspection is required for soils, concrete, and post installed anchors to concrete. The engineered trusses are a deferred submittal item. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. A blower door test will be required for each dwelling unit to show that the air changes per hour are not less than 5 and not more than 7, otherwise, an outside air duct connected to each return air plenum is required. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13-R and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any installation work on such systems. **CJW**
