The NFPA 13-R fire sprinkler system is used for occupancy. To construct a 10,000 square foot three story apartment building (5,338 sq. ft. 1st story, 5,338 sq. ft. 2nd story, 1,058 sq. ft. 3rd story, the 3rd story is only available through 3 of the 2nd floor units.). All ground floor units are required to comply as Type B dwelling units. No elevator is provided in this building. Work is to include concrete footings, concrete foundations, concrete slabs on grade, wood stud bearing walls, wood stud shear walls, fiberglass shingles, fiber-cement board siding, manufactured stone veneer, 1-hr dwelling unit separations, .75 hr (45 min) minimum fire-resistance-rated doors into the atruim with 20 minute smoke- and draft-control doors, interior nonbearing walls, millwork, and finishes.
