Description

The fire protection scope of work consists of clean agent system for the server room. A new Sapphire clean agent suppression system utilizing Novec 1230 fluid will be installed per NFPA 2001 and manufacturers specifications.

There does not seem to be an associated building permit at this time.

Note: The clean agent system does not remove the requirement for fire sprinklers (if any) in the data center, if the building is a fully sprinklered building. Fire sprinklers are still required. A gaseous system may be used below the raise floor (if any). (Ref: NFPA 13: 22.14.2.1 and 22.14.2.3)

Partial final inspection of clean agent alarm panel/clean agent release complete. All devices associated with clean agent fire alarms/tank activation tested, all devices that were tested passed inspection. Clean agent fire panel is not connected to the buildings main fire alarm system, clean agent fire panel needs to be monitored by the buildings main fire alarm panel (any modifications to the buildings fire alarm system will require a seperate FIR permit issued before work can be performed). A follow up inspection will need to be scheduled after interface between clean agent and main fire panel are complete. Once the panel interface is complete and inspected this FIR permit can be completed.
