This submittal is for the 3rd Floor and the 1st Entry/Lobby areas. Install new mains and branch lines to provide coverage over the entire area. The Beowolf Computer room will have a Pre-Action system. This Pre-Action system will be submitted at a later date.

((BSU computer science – city center plaza – 1st, 2nd, and 3rd stories) (1-12-16 plan modification to build out more of the 3rd story and to construct an open stairway between the 2nd and 3rd stories. The complete design for the stairway is a deferred submittal item. Draft curtains and closely spaced fire sprinkler heads are required around the floor opening between the 1st and 2nd story and around the floor opening between the 2nd and 3rd story in compliance with nfpa 13.) The fire sprinkler system is used for occupancy and to comply with the high-rise requirements of the building code.
1st story: To construct a 475 square foot lobby to serve as the entrance to the BSU tenant space located on the 2nd and 3rd stories. An elevator that serves the 2nd and 3rd stories is accessed through this 1st story lobby. An interior open stairway within the lobby also provides access to the 2nd story. A 334 square foot bike storage room will be constructed having access from the exit passageway located between City Center and the Arena. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls and a door. Access to the bike storage area will be through a 1,092 square foot intervening room.
2nd story: To construct a 22,353 square foot educational tenant space for university students and to create one shower room accessible to the disabled. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, interior doors, interior windows, millwork, and finishes. An open interior stairway having no enclosed usable space below was constructed under the building shell permit.
3rd story: To construct an office tenant space on the 23,432 square foot 3rd story to support the educational occupancy on the 2nd story. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, interior doors, interior windows, millwork, and finishes. A cooling system will be installed to serve the data center (server room) located on the 3rd story. The condenser will be installed on the roof. No element of the structure is allowed to be over stressed by the weight of the new equipment.
The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. Special Inspection is required for welding. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
