The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of a one level building with a wet and dry system. The dry system protects the outside canopies. The dry system piping is galvanized and run on the roof. The 6” underground supplies a 4” backflow preventer and header.
The underground piping is under permit FIR16-00031

• FP-2: Routing has changed for the dry system running on the roof deck. This change has been made to insure the pipe would not be visible from the ground.
• FP-2: Sprinkler protection has been removed from the portion of the exterior overhang from a steel beam to the edge of the roof. This portion of the overhang is 4’-0” or less.
• FP-2: The dry system main supplying the East overhang has been relocated to the roof in the area of the high bay between columns 4 and 5. All pipe exposed outside is galvanized.
• FP-2: The sprinkler pipe serving the sprinklers in the high bay area between columns 4 and 5 have been redesigned at the request of the architect to better comply with the design intent of the building.
• FP-2: The SPRINKLERS outside the riser room are under a noncombustible exterior projection and are not required by NFPA 13 therefore have been removed.
• FP-2: The FDC location has been slightly revised closer to the hydrant to a location preferred by the architect.
A NEW 16,000 SF LIBRARY FOR THE CITY OF BOISE IS COMPRISED OF THREE PARTS, INCLUDING A 5,020 SF LOBBY AND MEETING AREA, A 7,390 SF READING ROOM, AND A 3,590 SF STAFF AREA. THE LOBBY AND MEETING AREA INCLUDES THE LOBBY, PUBLIC RESTROOMS, A MEETING ROOM, MULTIPURPOSE MEETING ROOM, STUDY AREAS, AND A BOOK DROP ROOM. THE READING ROOM INCLUDES A CHILDREN'S AREA, AN ADULT LOUNGE AREA, BOOK STACKS, AND A CIRCULATION DESK. THE STAFF AREA INCLUDES OPEN OFFICE AREA, BOOK HANDLING AREA, PRIVATE OFFICE, STORAGE ROOMS, STAFF BATHROOMS, MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL ROOM, JANITORS CLOSETS,AND A STAFF BREAK ROOM. NOTE: This building to meet LEED V4.0, Silver – New Construction & Major Renovations certification. NOTE: This building requires building commissioning. A Preoccupancy Commissioning Report shall be submitted and accepted by the Building Official prior to issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy
