The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of a single level dwelling. The underground is a combination supply for the fire protection and domestic. The system is being design as an active purge system also known as a flow through system.

[BLD16-00664] - This building is required to be fire sprinklered in accordance with NFPA 13D. A Separate fire sprinkler permit is required. ** Permit for the construction of a new 2638 sq. ft., one story single family dwelling with 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, approximately 288 sq. ft. of covered patio/porch and an 868 sq. ft. attached garage per the approved plans, engineering, ACCA report and any notations. A-1 zoning and setbacks per planning. //leg ***A letter from the applicant’s geotechnical engineer indicating that the footing/column subgrade is acceptable must be approved by Public Works prior to scheduling a footing inspection.

Smoke alarm still needs to be relocated. Lawn sprinkler system needs to be installed so that auto shutdown can be verified as per the approved plans.

Decorative ceiling beams have been installed in west side of kitchen/dining area and master bedroom, deflector position is to close to beams as specified in Table 8.2.5.4.2 of NFPA13D, corrections for mentioned area's will need to be made to pass final inspection. Smoke detector in south east bedroom is to close to sprinkler head, correction will need to be made to pass final inspection. Fire sprinkler head in hallway is painted as well as east sprinkler head in south east bedroom, mentioned heads will need to be replaced for final inspection. Fire bell is not installed on exterior of house. Escutcheons need to be installed for final inspection.

Numerous area's the insulation will not sit on the sheetrock to provide the needed pocket for heat transfer due to elecrtical wiring. House has several ceiling elevation changes where the fire sprinkler piping is located in the wall, all fire sprinkler piping needs to have a clear pocket between sheetrock and heated area for freeze protection, all vertical piping is covered by blow in insulation not providing the needed pocket. Small section of pipe in southside bedroom has exposed piping to attic space, piping needs to have tenting insulation installed over piping. Overhead fire sprinkler piping cannot be covered until this is repaired.
