Install 6 new pendent sprinklers in sandblasting booths, and 3 new upright sprinklers under mechanical duct on the existing dry system in this tenant space.
Due to the combustible dust hazard as reported in the Fire Code Plan Review the booths are being treated as EH 1. The plan reviewer feels the pipe sizing and spacing is adequate for this hazard.

[BLD16-03574] - Permit for the installation of 3 new acoustic spray booths and the associated make-up air untis to the roof on new curbs. There are minor modifications required to be made to the existing roof trusses per the attached engineer and engineering details. This building has both H-3 and F-1 occupancies. All new work will occur in the F-1 area with no modifications being made to the H-3 portion of the building. This is a fully fire sprinklered building for area increase and the H occupancy and has an alarm system. Any alterations to the sprinkler system will require a separate permit and shall comply with NFPA 13 nad 72 as regulated by the fire department. There is no change in occupant loads or occupancy classification. A certificate of compliance is to be issued upon approval and completion of this project. CDM
