The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of protecting a 3 level single family dwelling with a NFPA 13D system. The system has a combination water service. The fire protection system is designed as an active purge type system.

Contractor’s Note:
The building permit has not been issued at this time. The building department may determine that changes are required to the building plans in order to meet code. The changes may affect the sprinkler system. The sprinkler contractor will be obligated to make all necessary changes that may be required. Therefore, if the sprinkler contractor chooses to proceed without an issued building permit, they will do so on their own cognizance. This note does not constitute an early start agreement.

[BLD16-04171] - Permit for the construction of a new 3885 sq. ft., two story (first story 2397 sq. ft., second story 1158 sq. ft.) single family dwelling with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, approximately (??? sq. ft. of covered patio/porch and a 1060 sq. ft. attached garage per the approved plans, plan review report and any notations. R-1B zoning and setbacks per planning. A letter from the applicant’s geotechnical engineer indicating that the footing/column subgrade is acceptable must be approved by Public Works prior to scheduling a footing inspection.

Replace painted fire sprinkler heads. Fire sprinkler head under stair landing on bottom level needs to be raised. Provide fire sprinkler in small hallway going to pantry from kitchen as shown on approved drawings. Fire sprinkler head in south bedroom is 24 inches away from center of ceiling fan, a minimum of 36 inches from center is required. Provide means of irrigation isolation when flow switch activates.
