The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of a tenant improvement in an existing fully sprinklered shell space. The existing C-900 6”x85’± of underground piping with associated fittings and thrust blocks supplies an existing 4” riser with backflow preventer and dry valve. The fire sprinkler work includes added sprinklers to accommodate new walls and ceilings.

Contractor’s Note:
The building permit has not been issued at this time. The building department may determine that changes are required to the building plans in order to meet code. The changes may affect the sprinkler system. The sprinkler contractor will be obligated to make all necessary changes that may be required. Therefore, if the sprinkler contractor chooses to proceed without an issued building permit, they will do so on their own cognizance. This note does not constitute an early start agreement.

[BLD17-00222] – The fire sprinkler system is used for occupancy, for building area increase, and for fire flow. To construct interior improvements for a new 3,500 square foot restaurant and bar. Work is to include a concrete slab on grade, a 1-hr fire barrier wall for separated occupancies, interior nonbearing walls, two restrooms accessible to the disabled, suspended acoustical ceilings, gypsum board ceilings, kitchen equipment, a Type I grease hood and duct system, wall insulation, attic insulation, and finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
