Fire Protection Contractor’s Note:
The building permit has not been issued at this time. The building department may determine that changes are required to the building plans in order to meet code. The changes may affect the sprinkler system. The sprinkler contractor will be obligated to make all necessary changes that may be required. Therefore, if the sprinkler contractor chooses to proceed without an issued building permit, they will do so on their own cognizance. This note does not constitute an early start agreement.

The fire sprinkler system is used for high rise and for story increase. To remodel a 6,443 square foot office tenant space located on the 2nd story of an existing high-rise building. Work is to include interior NxtWall demountable nonbearing partitions, doors, glass sidelights, millwork, and finishes. The access floor system and the suspended ceilings were installed under permit BLD05-02939. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The existing common core area is required to be maintained and no alterations to the common core area are allowed under this permit. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
