The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of installing a new fire sprinkler system into a new three level apartment building per NFPA 13R, 2016, and the City of Boise. The system has floor control valves, residential sprinklers and CPVC piping.

• The underground piping is under permit FIR18-00519.

The NFPA 13-R fire sprinkler system is used for occupancy and for story increase. To construct a 15,052 square foot three story VB Type of Construction apartment building (5,034 sq. ft. 1st story and 5,009 sq. ft. 2nd story and 5,009 sq. ft. 3rd story). Work is to include concrete footings, concrete foundations, concrete slabs on grade, wood stud bearing walls, wood stud shear walls, fiberglass shingles, fiber-cement board siding, manufactured stone veneer, 1-hr dwelling unit separations, 1-hour fire barriers for stair and breezeways, rated doors in breezeway, interior nonbearing walls, millwork, and finishes. Special Inspection is NOT required. The roof truss design is a deferred submittal item. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13-R as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **ajs**

This project includes approved code alternates to the following fire protection systems and/or building life safety systems. Please review the supplemental documents attached to this building permit case for details. Fire protection “shop drawings” shall include approved code alternate design.
