To construct a new 690 square foot storage room above an existing Single family attached garage per the approved plans. Work to include: remove the existing roof trusses above the garage and replace with engineered wood products for the floor joists and pre-engineered roof trusses; install new roof covering; construct a new stair to access the storage room floor; construct new exterior walls and finish; and install new garage doors and headers at new openings. All work per the approved plans, attached plan review report, and all other agencies final approvals. The Building Official has determined carbon monoxide poisoning, smoke and fire related hazards to be specific hazards associated with buildings and/or structures without smoke and carbon monoxide detection and alarm systems that do not meet current building codes. Carbon monoxide poisoning, smoke and fire related hazards are substantial hazards because the likelihood of death and or injury from said hazards increases in buildings and/or structures. The existing portions of buildings or structures with non-existent or inadequate smoke and carbon monoxide detection and alarm systems that do not meet current building codes must be retrofitted to meet current code requirements. **SRZ**
