To construct an interior remodel to an existing 3,640 square foot Single Family Dwelling. Work to include: replace the existing kitchen cabinets and countertops; remove a portion of an existing interior non-bearing wall; and plumbing and electrical work. All work per the approved plans and all other reviewing agencies final approvals. The Building Official has determined carbon monoxide poisoning, smoke and fire related hazards to be specific hazards associated with buildings and/or structures without smoke and carbon monoxide detection and alarm systems that do not meet current building codes. Carbon monoxide poisoning, smoke and fire related hazards are substantial hazards because the likelihood of death and or injury from said hazards increases in buildings and/or structures. The existing portions of buildings or structures with non-existent or inadequate smoke and carbon monoxide detection and alarm systems that do not meet current building codes must be retrofitted to meet current code requirements.
