To remodel and build a 992 square foot addition onto an existing 2,480 square foot two story Single Family Dwelling per plans. The addition will include a Master bedroom, master bathroom, new kitchen, and increase the existing family rooms size. All work per the approved plans, attached plan review report, and adopted codes. The Building Official has determined carbon monoxide poisoning, smoke and fire related hazards to be specific hazards associated with buildings and/or structures without smoke and carbon monoxide detection and alarm systems that do not meet current building codes. Carbon monoxide poisoning, smoke and fire related hazards are substantial hazards because the likelihood of death and or injury from said hazards increases in buildings and/or structures. The existing portions of buildings or structures with non-existent or inadequate smoke and carbon monoxide detection and alarm systems that do not meet current building codes must be retrofitted to meet current code requirements. **SRZ**
