**1/5/15 PLAN MODIFICATION TO INCLUDE: FUR UP AND INSULATE EXISTING GARAGE/LIVING SPACE FLOOR PER THE APPROVED PLANS. SRZ** To repair an existing 1,568 square foot, one story, single family dwelling damaged by fire and remodel the 200 sq.ft. of existing garage area to be conditioned living area. Work to include: remove interior non-bearing wall partitions in the old garage area; replace existing west and east walls and their exterior finishes as required; remove and replace select roof trusses damaged by the fire; replace roof shingles and roof sheathing as required; add additional ceiling insulation and floor insulation; and all other repair work per the approved plans, attached plan review report, the structural inspectors final approval, and adopted codes. The Building Official has determined carbon monoxide poisoning, smoke and fire related hazards to be specific hazards associated with buildings and/or structures without smoke and carbon monoxide detection and alarm systems that do not meet current building codes. Carbon monoxide poisoning, smoke and fire related hazards are substantial hazards because the likelihood of death and or injury from said hazards increases in buildings and/or structures. The existing portions of buildings or structures with non-existent or inadequate smoke and carbon monoxide detection and alarm systems that do not meet current building codes must be retrofitted to meet current code requirements. **SRZ**
