All illegal improvements and safety issues had to be resolved, no more than 5 tenants in main structure and structure would be subject to random inspections for 6months or more.

Case reopened. Mike Garner with Code Enforcement responded to complaints of multiple tenants in this dwelling and gained access with a probation officer and police officer. Garner confirmed and photographed as well as interviewed the occupants on existing code violations. N&O as well as Citations and legal action is pending on this structure/owner.

Violations were as follows (see attachments for pictures) #1-unprotected nm cable at back steps, #2-SO cord going under wall, #5-Wiring not to NEC and only visible outlets in attic bedroom, #6- Not approved box and light not attached by approved means, #7-Zip cord used in a unapproved manor (fixed wiring), #8-Open splices in exposed zip cord also see #7, #9- So cord going through door way (locked bedroom), #10- SO cord ran through rooms and in unsafe manner, #11-kitchen outlet not approved wiring method and zip cords ran off of plug mold to other area's of house, #12- Panel behind refrigarator (not proper clearances), #13 same as #12, #15- Car port or ?, #16- same as #15. See attached pictures to permit.

Jim S., Mike G.,Mike M. and I visited the site to obtain entry to verify reported conditions. After knocking on the door tenants were observed looking out windows but, would not answer door. An individual entering the side door was asked by Mike M. if the owner, Jerry Hale, was available and he responded no. Correction Notice's were posted on front door and photographed. Electrical utilities shall be terminated on 2/19/02.
