While performing a fire alarm inspection I noticed that what appeared to be a freshly cut up interior wall was piled/leaning against an exterior roll up door. I went into the business and spoke to the owner about the need for permits for the work being done. He showed me where mezzanine floor area was being increased over the interior exit stairs. I let him know that this work has the potential to effect sprinkler and/or fire alarm devices.
