(OCHOS BOISE – ELEVATED PATIOS, PATIO AT GRADE, CANOPY, AWNINGS, AND PERGOLAS) (DRH18-00135) The building fire sprinkler system is used for story increase and for fire area. To construct an elevated patio about 58 inches above grade (about 912 square feet), an elevated patio about 12 inches above grade (about 311 square feet), a patio at grade (about 1,252 square feet), and circulation areas (about 877 square feet). Work is to include concrete footings, masonry retaining and bearing walls, masonry piers, steel columns, steel beams, concrete slab on steel pan deck with pavers, free draining backfill material, pavers installed on fill material, concrete stairways with handrails, curved ramp with handrails, steal pergolas open to the sky with attached radiant heaters, a steel pergola open to the sky over an exterior stairway, a screen wall at the East property line, a 1-hr fire-resistance-rated wall at the East property line next to the awning, fixed benches, guards, a new steel exterior stairway to the basement, a wheelchair lift, a table with open gas flame, and a fire feature with open gas flame. Special Inspection is required for soils, concrete, masonry, steel (including welding), and anchors post-installed in hardened concrete. Work also includes a high glass canopy (390 square feet), two low glass awnings (158 square feet total), and a canopy at the carriage house (59 square feet). The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. This permit is intended to establish a Certificate of Occupancy only for the patio areas. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
