(DARIGOLD BOTTLING LINE EXPANSION – BUILDING ADDITION ON THE EAST) (DRH18-00482) (5-29-20 PLAN MODIFICATION TO REMOVE THE 14,900 SQUARE FOOT AREA 3 ADDITION FROM THE SCOPE OF WORK, TO CHANGE THE MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS, TO REVISE THE STRUCTURAL DESIGN, TO RELOCATE THE SHIPS LADDER PROVIDING ACCESS TO THE ROOF TOP MECHANICAL UNITS, TO RELOCATE A ROOF TOP SHIPS LADDER, TO WIDEN THE NORTHEAST DRIVEWAY, AND TO CHANGE THE SITE UTILITY ROUTING. THE PROPOSED WATTS PER SQUARE FOOT USED FOR LIGHTING IS DECREASING. AREA 3 IN THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE BUILDING WILL BE CONSTRUCTED IN THE FUTURE UNDER PHASE 2. A SEPARATE PERMIT IS REQUIRED FOR THAT ADDITION.) The fire sprinkler system is used for unlimited area of the building and for fire flow. To construct a 36,220 square foot addition (32,528 square feet 1st story and 3,692 square feet 2nd story) to an existing 99,182 square foot building (91,712 square feet 1st story and 7,470 square feet 2nd story). The addition will be used as a processing, filling, packaging, and palletizing space for fluid milk. Work is to include concrete footings, concrete piers, steel columns with steel base plates, precast concrete tilt-up exterior walls with integral insulation, steel braced frames, steel moment frames, concrete slabs on grade, steel roof joists, roof supported trolley beams, steel roof decks, continuous insulation installed on top of the roof deck, a membrane roof covering, insulated metal panels, side-hinged swinging doors, overhead doors, loading dock levelers, and roof top stairways. The new 1,850 square foot 2nd story within the new addition includes steel columns, steel beams, steel moment frames, steel stairway, steel guards, concrete and steel deck composite floor, a ships ladder to the roof, 2-hr fire-resistance-rated 2nd story, and a 2-hr enclosed stairway used for travel distance reduction. To remodel an existing 11,540 square foot area of the existing building. Much of the existing concrete slab on grade, a 3,935 square foot existing roof, and roof coverings will be removed. Work is to include concrete footings, concrete mat foundation and concrete piers to support new tanks, steel columns with steel base plates, new openings in existing precast concrete walls with steel plate headers, steel braced frames, steel moment frames, concrete slabs on grade, steel roof trusses, roof supported trolley beams, insulated metal panels, steel roof deck, continuous insulation installed on top of the new roof deck, a membrane roof covering on the new roof, and a new roof covering on an existing roof. The new 1,842 square foot 2nd story within the existing building includes steel columns, steel beams, steel braced frames, steel moment frames, steel plate floor, steel catwalks, steel stairways, steel guards, and a concrete and steel deck composite floor. Special Inspection is required for soils, concrete, steel (including bolting and welding), and for anchors post-installed in hardened concrete. The design for the open web steel roof joists and the design for the precast concrete tilt-up wall panels with integral insulation are deferred submittal items. A separate permit is required for racking. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. This permit is intended to establish a Certificate of Occupancy only for the addition and for the remodeled areas. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW** Mechanical Commissioning is required. The report must be submitted to Mechanical supervisor for approval before final inspection.
