The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of modifying the existing core and shell system to accommodate new demising wall, ceiling configuration and new mezzanine. The office space will be protected with ssp's from 1" drops from the existing system above. The mezzanine will have a new 2" main and 1¼” branch lines extended from the existing system above to supply the new ssu's on sprigs to protect the space below the mezzanine for ordinary group II hazard. The original shell and core is an ESFR system with a fire pump. This project is connected with two building permit mentioned below.

NOTE: This project has NOT been review for high piled storage based on the Owner’s Information Certificates.

• The original warehouse shell building is under permit BLD18-00596.
• The office space TI is under permit BLD18-01401.
• The mezzanine permit is under permit BLD18-03233.
• The underground piping is under permit FIR18-00715.
• The shell and core fire protection is under permit FIR18-00765.

This project has been reviewed for the clouded area only. The building department reviews are not complete at this time. Please, check with the fire sprinkler plan reviewer before final of this project. There may be additional high piled storage or under conveyor protection involved. The fire sprinkler scope of work may not correlate with the building department scope of work.

Contractor’s Note:
The building permit has not been issued at this time. The building department may determine that changes are required to the building plans in order to meet code. The changes may affect the sprinkler system. The sprinkler contractor will be obligated to make all necessary changes that may be required. Therefore, if the sprinkler contractor chooses to proceed without an issued building permit, they will do so on their own cognizance. This note does not constitute an early start agreement.


[BLD18-03233]
Permit for the first time build-out of a warehouse space in the south half of a new warehouse building. Shell/Core was built under BLD18-00596 and site work, envelope and exterior lighting were approved with the shell permit. The 2,950 sq ft Teffco Office was permitted under BLD18-01401 and included plumbing fixtures for the warehouse. Warehouse will be used for storage of Teff Flour. Equipment platform and area below platform will be used for manufacturering of grains. Work to include: equipment platform, ships ladder, separation wall, doors, grain and storage containers. This building is fire sprinklered in accordance with NFPA 13 with 60 ft yards for unlimited area. Utilizes ANSI/ASHREA 90.1. Special Inspections Required, see form 310. A separate permit is required prior to occupying this structure and a separate racking permit is required if racks are installed over 8 feet in height. Separate permits will be required for the building fire protection systems, as regulated by the Fire Department. **JAR**

This project includes approved code alternates to the following fire protection systems and/or building life safety systems. Please review the supplemental documents attached to this building permit case for details. Fire protection “shop drawings” shall include approved code alternate design.
