Description
(SAFFRON RESTAURANT) This building is fire sprinklered to substitute for 1-hr fire-resistive construction. To construct interior tenant improvements for a new full service restaurant (3,745 square foot first floor plus a 630 square foot mezzanine). Approximately 400 square feet of the first floor is being lowered 2 feet below the existing first floor level. A mezzanine is being constructed over the lowered first floor area with the finished floor level approximately 6 feet above the existing first floor level. The mezzanine has a steel deck and concrete floor system supported by tube steel columns and beams. Plywood sheathing attached to steel stud walls installed around the perimeter of the floor provides lateral support. Work is to include two restrooms accessible to the disabled, two grease hood and duct systems, two food preparation kitchens, stairs to the lower and upper levels, interior walls and bulkheads, a fire alarm system, and a small suspended ceiling all per approved drawings, engineering, and plan review conditions on file. The maximum allowed occupant load of the assembly area (152) shall be posted on an approved sign near the main exit. The fire sprinkler system shall comply with NFPA 13-1996 as regulated by the Fire Department. (PC-331-00) **CJW**
