To remodel the South half of the second story, a 2,907 sq. ft. area (original permit BLD#1028027, 1988) for additional sunday school classrooms & support areas. Work to include wood or metal frame, non-bearing walls to create classrooms, unisex accessible restroom; to verify and complete as necessary a 1-hour exit corridor system serving as one of the required exits from the second floor, south end, and upgrade as required of the second exit through the north end intervening room to the exterior landing & stairway. All per approved plans, to include red-line notes & attached plan review comments. THE 1988, 9,279 SQ. FT., TWO STORY CLASSROOM ADDITION AND SANCTUARY, ADDED TO THE EXISTING TWO STORY 7,497 SQ. FT. AREA, FOR A TOTAL AREA OF 16,776 SQ. FT., HAVE NEVER BEEN FINALED FOR OCCUPANCY. REVIEW OF EXISTING FACILITIES FOR IMMINENT HAZARDS, EXITS, HARDWARE, EXIT SIGNS & ILLUMINATION, ETC, FOR PURPOSE OF ISSUING A CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY FOR THE ENTIRE PROJECT USE, IS A CONDITION OF THIS PERMIT. Met with Leon Burt, Mt. View Church of The Brethren and Russ Phillips, Architect W/ Olson & Associates. After review of outstanding items from the 1988 permitted addition and the upgrades that would be required to add a residential occupancy on the second floor as part of the remodel finish of the 2,907 sq. ft. south portion of the second floor, it was determined that the residential use would be removed from the scope of the permit request. Architect to provide written notice of this request & declaration.
