Description
To remodel and add a second floor to an existing building with new core area work and new exiting system for future office tenant spaces (Vanilla Finish). The building has a 12,028 sq. ft. first floor and will have a 6,368 sq. ft. second floor. The building also has a 1,280 sq. ft. basement for storage and for mechanical/electrical use. NO OCCUPANCY is allowed under this permit. Separate permits will be required to occupy the tenant spaces. Work to include demolishing several interior walls, upgrading and constructing new core restrooms meeting current accessibility standards, other accessible upgrades, some minor exterior modifications including some exterior doors- window glass replacement-new windows in previous door openings-CMU infill wall, upgrading exterior and interior stairway handrails to meet code, adding wheel-guard rail at 4" height to existing accessible ramp, constructing a new second floor with supporting beams/columns and new footings, structural fill at existing indoor swimming pool location then providing a new framed floor, new elevator installation and enclosure, two new interior exit stairways from new second floor, new exiting system consisting of a one-hour rated corridor with rated doors, one-hour rated Areas of Refuge, new interior walls with doors, interior finish, new suspended ceiling, alarm system work, new plumbing work, new mechanical work, and new electrical work.
