Called Bob Smith, architect, to review the existing building and the 1992 letter of agreement and if was aware of the requirements for the sprinkler system, smoke detection, pre-action and occupancy separation wall requirements and review with him that this demolition and proposed remodel will require relocation of each of these items based on the new area uses. Stated to him that the sprinkler, smoke, & preaction systems could not be modified in the least under this demo permit and that I would specifically not this fact in the permit. He understood the situation. I told him I would call the contractor and review with him the specific limits of the permit.
Meeting  9/29/2000
Had Bill Alexander come to my desk to review with him the intended demolition and future proposed remodel. Discussed the sprinkler system & smoke detection / pre-action system and the different areas covered by one or the other and that the demo permit would be issued with specific limits. I let Bill read the permit and modified per his suggestions. Preparing to rout for issuance of demo permit only aslisted in permit.
