*HOOPER & CORNELL - NEW TENANT T.I. SUITE #300* - To remodel a portion of an existing 12,011 sq. ft. 3rd floor tenant space (previously occupied by one tenant, now to be occupied by threetenants), plus 617 sq. ft. open atrium, to create a new tenant space of 6,512 sq. ft. Work to include removal of interior, non-bearing walls; installation of new non-bearing walls to create 2 larger private offices, a file room, open office area and a new reception area; to install new entry door to reception area with sidelight on each side; extend construct a 1-hour exit enclosure extension, at the first floor of the Northeast stair, to the exterior exit door, per attached 8-1/2" x 11" plan & "letter of agreement" of May 6, 1998 for a two year time frame, expiring May 6, 2000. This building is fully fire sprinkled. There is a smoke control system activated by: (1)smoke detectors at the top of the atrium and adjacent to each return air intake into the atrium; (2) and the required automatic sprinkler system; (3) and a fire alarm system; (4) and manual controls which are readily accessible to the fire department, in compliance with the 1981 NFPA 101, section 6-2.2.3.1. The construction of the atrium and allowance of unprotected atrium wall construction for a 3 story 'Office Building' with exiting through the atrium to the exit stair enclosure system, was regulated by section 26-4.3, 1981 NFPA 101 (atriums were not addressed in the 1979 UBC. The exit stair enclosures are required to be 1-hour construction per section 3308, 1979 UBC, 60 minute, 450 temp. rise @ 30 minutes, fire door assembly, all per records on file.) All systems shall be maintained as originally approved. FIRE DEPARTMENT APPROVAL REQUIRED FOR SAID SYSTEM AS CONDITION OF THIS PERMIT AND OCCUPANCY BY THE TENANT. A 'Certificate of Occupancy is required for this new tenant. PC#00-896/drs

Reviewed plans & plan review / permit comments for the original building construction in 1985, under the 1979 UBC. I also reviewed other permits previously issued to determine history for the building, construction type & atrium requirements.
Meeting  10/23/2000  
Met with Wes Steele to review plans he had presented for the third floo of 250 Bobwhite. In 1998 the 3rd floor was remodeled as on tenant space. His submittals divide the floor into three tenant spaces and doi some interior modifications to each area. I told him he would need to submit three seperate plans and applications and each new tenant would require inspection & a certificate of occupancy to comply with Boise City codes & ordinances. Wes left to re do plans and application and certificate of values for the scope of each tenant project.
