(JOE'S ALL AMERICAN GRILL - BASEMENT) Fire sprinklers substitute for 1-hr fire-resistive construction of the building. To remodel the basement (5,500 square feet) and prepare it for assembly occupancy. Work is to include a structural header at a door opening in an existing masonry wall, 2 restrooms accessible to the disabled, a 450 square foot raised platform, and new floor columns/beams all per approved drawings, engineering, and plan review conditions on file. The basement shall be fully fire sprinklered per NFPA 13-1999 as regulated by the Fire Department. A fire alarm system is required throughout the basement. The maximum occupant load for the basement is based on available exit width and use (1,657 square feet @ 1:15 and 2,307 square feet @ 1:7). The capacity of the basement (440) shall be posted in a conspicuous place on an approved sign near the main exit. PC-0429-01 **CJW**
