Two buildings in the shopping center are classified as Type V-one hour construction and the other two buildings are Type V-N construction. Work to include providing a one-hour rated mansard wall/soffit/protected columns at Type V-one hour buildings, new metal siding installation at fascia and soffit of exterior canopy, new draft stops in canopy, new access openings into canopy where required, and fire sprinkler work. This is a Scope of Work Permit. LETTER OF COMPLETION TO BE ISSUED WHEN DONE. NOTE: Buildings #2 and #4 are fully fire sprinklered for area increase. Building #1 and #3 are NOT fire sprinklered. Per discussion with Fire Department, fire sprinklers were to be installed in the shopping center exterior canopy in front of the bowling alley building. Owner has requested a delay or upgrade agreement in case the bowling alley is remodeled and then they will sprinkler the bowling alley building and the canopy in front at the same time or sprinkler the canopy within a 5 year maximum time frame.
8/10/06 Sent reminder letter that the Upgrade Agreement will expire within the next few months. Appropriate permits are to be obtained and work completed by the deadline. Letter is attached to this case.
12/13/06 Talked with Jenifer Gilliland about this Upgrade Agreement getting ready to expire on 12/21/06. Have not received any response to my letter sent on 8/10/06. Jenifer will discuss with Bob Archibald. Matter forwarded to Management.
6/15/2007 Upgrade Agreement work completed. Fire sprinkler and alarm work done under permits FIR07-00152 and FIR07-00439 which are both finaled.
