(ADA COUNTY CORONER - MORGUE) This building is fire sprinklered for area increase. To construct a 3,450 square foot morgue within an existing 24,000 square foot warehouse/office building to be used by the Ada County Coroner's Office. The Coroner will occupy the 3,450 square foot morgue, the 2,400 square foot 1st floor office area, and the 2,000 square foot 2nd floor office area (7,850 square feet total). Work is to include 2 toilet/shower rooms accessible to the disabled, a wheelchair lift accessible to the disabled, 2 restrooms modified to be more accessible to the disabled, interior nonbearing walls, a 300 square foot mechanical mezzanine, replaced concrete slabs, foam plastic freezer/cooler, and suspended ceilings all per approved drawings, engineering, and plan review conditions on file. The fire sprinkler system shall comply with NFPA 13-1999 as regulated by the Fire Department. Zoning approval by Scott Spjute. PC02-0012 **CJW**

These detectors to be connected to the building fire alarm system and may require submittals to Boise city for approvals, provide manual pull station and relocate smoke detector from the wall to the deck. This also may require submittals to the city. Have the alarm contractor contact Sam Roger at ###-#### with any questions. Provide annual inspection report for the fire alarm system

September 13, 2002 - Walked through 1:30pm - Met with Architect (Dan Kauffman), Ada County building maintenance, Fire Sprinkler Contractor, General Contractor and inspected facility for new and existing UFC fire protection issues. Found some existing offices not sprinklered, High-piled combustible storage 12'-0" high with 36" wide, single rack, solid shelf, storage of Class II commodities up to 15'-0". Minimum aisle widths are 40" (one side) and 44" (the other). System (installed in 1963+-), appears to be designed for OH pipe scheduled occupancy with a 120 ft/2 spacing, limiting it to 12'-0" maximum. UFC Article 81 would have to be addressed in this area of occupancy.
