(THE BIG EASY) This building is fire sprinklered to substitute for 1-hr fire-resistive construction. To remodel the lower level of an existing assembly room to increase the allowable occupant load within the room. The mezzanine level will maintain its maximum occupant load at 192. A 2,500 square foot expansion area in the basement will accommodate support functions (e.g. kitchen, dressing room, storage, etc.) for the assembly room. After the expansion, this tenant will have a total floor area of 11,624 square feet. The maximum occupant load for the lower level of the assembly room is 747 (includes patrons, employees, security personnel, performers, etc.). An approved sign shall be posted near the main exit from the lower level stating: "Maximum occupant load 747 NO tables OR chairs, 348 tables AND/OR chairs" or words to that effect. Work is to include structural headers and trimmers at widened doorways, stairways, guardrails, handrails, fire doors, new structural bracing for the mezzanine, and a toilet/shower room accessible to the disabled all per approved drawings, engineering, and plan review conditions on file. Selective demolition is also covered under this permit. The location of fire sprinkler heads shall comply with NFPA 13-1999 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
