A call from John Price, Tamura & Associates, requesting the permit for the ramps, landings, stairs, guards & new storefront entry doors be issued as originally submitted and that he would work with the tenant to answer outstanding questions for the new propsed use under current code then submit separate application, plans for review of the new tenant space. I have removed all references concerning the new tenant space from the permit and plan check comments.

Discovered that a new tenant, Eldredge's Furniture, had been found to occupy an 11,481 s.f. portion of the building and that the future tenant was doning work at the site. The structural inspector was notified and requested to go to the site and issue a stop work order and explain to the tenant that application & plans are required. Plans received the 18th met original plan review requirements for the new exterior stirs, landings, ramps & railings, but are incomplete for the new tenant plans and sufficient information to show compliance with current codes for new occupancy use group changes from the original 'American Oak" plan on file. The original 26,050 s.f. space was being divided into two spaces. A vacant space of 14,569s.f. and the new 11,481 s.f. "Elgredge's Furniture to include a new storage and furniture assembly areas. A listed of items needing to be shown on the plans and addressed by the architect was faxed, e-mailed and mailed to John Price, Tamura & Assoc. Architects. Routing plans to fire code analyst and then back to zoning to verify compliance with their note on original plans concerning any new tenants.

Call from Joe Inglescious, Thornton-Oliver-Keller, concerning 60 N. Cole permit for new entry, stairs, ramp. I reminded Joe that he had previously told me a new tenant was going into this space and was doing work at this time. I had contacted the field inspector to go by and stop work until tenant improvment plans were submitted, reviewed and approved. I had the proposed tenant call me in follow up. He was doing or had done the work. The resubmittals for the new entry, stairs and ramp need to be provided and if the tenant Improvement is to be a part of this permit those plans need to be submitted for review at the same time. I haven't heard from anyone how the T.I. is to be presented and I have not received any resubmittals for the entry, stairs, ramps, etc.
