(BOISE HOT ROD PERFORMANCE PARTS) This building is fully sprinklered for allowable area increase. To establish a "letter of compliance" for "Vanilla finish" future tenant & upgrade restroom for accessiblity compliance. To establish a 3,088 sq. ft. tenant space for retail sales, display and installation of sold accessories to include window tinting installation, all per approved plans. Per tenant declaration this space will not be a used as a repair garage as defined in 2000 IBC. Work includes selective demolition and new wall construction to enlarge an existing restroom to provide two fully accessible facilities. Existing doors in north wall of common tenant wall will have hardware removed and the doors secured in the closed position with paneling over the doors to look like the walls. The required exits are existing and will be maintained for code compliance as to hardware, exit signs and exit egress illumination. PC04-338/drs

See file for plan and notes of approval per inspection, fire & plan review. This scope of work ( restroom upgrade) under this permit received an L/C and the MIS permit was approved in the field and received the C.O. for "Wynn's Mill End Fabric, Inc." as the tenant.

Resubmittals shall meet the requirements of IFC chapter 23. Provide approved door hardware on the second front entry/exit door. TIM PERRY IS NO LONGER THE ARCHITECT FOR THIS PROJECT AND RAINBOW PLAY SYSTEMS IS NO LONGER THE TENANT. RESUBMITTALS NOT REQUIRED. Previous tenant Rainbow systems for whom Mr. Perry was working has moved from this location to 64 N. Cole under a new permit. Plans for new tenant Boise Hot Rod Performance Parts have been prepared by Jason Tomlinson and stamped by Douglas Gibson.

Jason called me back. I ask him concerning the designated occupancy use groups and the tenant. He had understood there was an existing tenant, Rainbow Play Systems, in the space and the restroom upgrade would get them into code compliance for a C.O. I told Jason that the application provided with the plan submittal indicated a new tenant called Crank & Chrome and that the Rainbow Play systems had vacated the space and moved to 64 N. Cole in March of this year. There shouldn't be a tenant in the space.
I had talked with Jim Phillips & Phil Shari of Crank & Chrome, currently at 722 N. Orchard, concerning this tenant site and occupancy use. I had been told that the proposed tenant would like to perform major repair service ( engine rebuild, parts replacement, installation of racing & performance Parts) / application of window tinting / & Sales/Display. Jason called John Walsh for a conference call concerning the project. This permit will be for the restroom upgrade only, NO TENANT or OCCUPANCY UNDER THIS PERMIT. Separate plans will be provided for the proposed tenant based on final considerations by all parties involved.

THIS FACILITY WILL DISPLAY ACCESSORY PART FOR VEHICLES AND SELL THE SAME, i.e. WINDOW TINTING, INSTALLATION OF RUNNING BOARDS, THINGS YOU CAN BOLT ON AS HE DESCRIBED IT. Dan and I voided permit bld04-01140, because the wrong permit was issued, the Rainbow playsystems relocation to 64 n cole. The plan review fees was only collected ont the new permit (1140) so I moved the information from bld04-00046 to bld04-01140 and voided 1140, value will be more on 00046 for the new review and will be treated as a new permit.

Under this permit number, plans had been previously submitted by Rainbow Play System for this tenant space as an existing illegal tenant. Corrections were required from the building dept. plan review. Resubmittals from the original architect, Mr. Perry of BRS, were never provided. Rainbow Play Systems moved to 64 N. Cole Road and a new proposed tenant has submitted plans for occupancy. These plans were presented 5/25/04 and are being recirculated for plan review by all original reviewing agencies.
